A Shared Story

This collection holds a special place in my heart.

These earrings are part of my personal collection and were purchased directly from Indigenous women and men artisans in Nicaragua. During that time, I had the privilege of participating in a volunteer experience at a special education school serving children with diverse emotional, physical, and developmental needs. Together with the local community, we helped create a sensory garden designed to encourage exploration, connection, and learning.

Beyond the work itself, one of the greatest gifts of that experience was the opportunity to spend time with the local community—walking through neighborhoods, learning from families, and supporting artisans whose creativity and craftsmanship reflected generations of cultural knowledge and tradition.

Each pair of earrings reminds me of the kindness I experienced, the beauty of slowing down, and the importance of honoring the people and places that shape our lives. They represent connection, community, resilience, and the meaningful relationships that can grow when we approach one another with openness and respect.
