Meet Giselle Bonilla
Healing has always been more than a profession for Giselle Bonilla—it has been a lifelong calling rooted in connection, compassion, and community.
As the founder of Pacifico Sanitas, Giselle created a space where integrative mental health, holistic wellness, and community healing come together. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 8 years of experience, educator, and nonprofit leader, she believes healing is not meant to happen in isolation, but through meaningful relationships—with ourselves, one another, and the communities we belong to.
Her journey has taken her beyond the therapy room and into communities where she has witnessed the resilience, wisdom, and healing that emerge through culture, relationships, and collective care. These experiences have shaped her approach, inspiring her to integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with holistic practices that honor the connection between mind, body, spirit, culture, and community.
Giselle is also the Founder and Executive Director of Centro Bonilla in Kiskeya (Dominican Republic) and Co-Founder of Time of Butterflies in MA, two community-centered organizations dedicated to expanding access to healing, education, and advocacy.
Whether providing psychotherapy, mentoring future clinicians, supporting community initiatives, or creating holistic wellness offerings, her intention remains the same: to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to reconnect with themselves, cultivate resilience, and move toward lasting wellbeing.
The Meaning Behind Our Logo
The Pacifico Sanitas logo is a reflection of healing, ancestry, connection, and community.
On the right side is Mother Atabey, a revered Taíno ancestral figure associated with freshwater, fertility, creation, beauty, music, and the nurturing spirit of Mother Earth. She represents life, renewal, and our relationship with the natural world.
The spiral, a symbol found across many Indigenous and African cultures, represents life's continuous journey—growth, transformation, and our connection to both the seen and unseen.
The bees remind us that healing is not meant to happen alone. They symbolize community, cooperation, and the strength that comes from caring for one another.
Surrounding these elements is oregano, a plant cherished in traditional healing practices for generations. It represents resilience, protection, love, and the enduring wisdom carried through our ancestors.
Together, these symbols reflect Pacifico Sanitas' belief that healing is rooted in the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, culture, community, and nature.
